Capital Market is a bi-monthly finance magazine; and I was responsible for conceptualizing and designing its covers along with the mini illustration as an extension.

How can one image explain a market conceptually?
shift
From dense financial headlines to a single visual metaphor readers get at a glance
system
8+ covers for a bi-monthly finance magazine, each taken from concept to print-ready file within 3 days
Supporting back cover that finishes the story: the front shows the moment, the back shows what happens next.
impact
Speed treated as part of the craft: one clear idea, executed fast, ready for the press
Co-Created with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Procreate
Every cover starts a story. Every end cover finishes it.
Every cover started from the headline, not the style. I looked for one everyday metaphor a reader could grasp before reading a word: a teetering block tower for Margin Strain, a spider patiently spinning its web for Brand Building, ants tunneling for Groundwork for Growth, a wind turbine for Shielding Shareholders from the Heat Wave.
The style followed the idea, so the series moves from paper collage to retro game levels to hand-painted pottery while the frame of masthead and scoreboard stays fixed.
Each end cover then picks up where the front leaves off, turning covers into short stories with a beginning and an after.
